Greek Helms from Medieval CollectablesThe Greek Corinthian helm originated in Ancient Greece. The name came from the area of Corinth and the helm was bronze. Later in the century the helm covered the entire head and neck of Greek soldiers. The Greek helm had slits for the eyes and mouth making it very hard for soldiers to see and breath in the helm. The Greek helm was similiar to those seen on Romans and Conquistadors. The Greek helm has a large curved projection to protect the nape of the neck. Medieval Collectables carries both brass and steel versions of the Greek Corinthian helm as well as the Royal Corinthian helm. The Royal Corinthian has a full natural horse hair plume worn by Greek officers.
