The beautiful, wicked and amoral daughter of Pope Alexander VI, was renowned for hosting the powerful family's extravagant parties, at which it was alleged, incest, poisoning and murder were among her esteemed vices. Lucrezia's favoured method of administering poison to her guest's drinks was from a ring or a hollow goblet stem. A lesser goblet in the same style as the host's, but intended to receive rather than dispense.
One of the advantages of this pewter goblet is that it does not need regular polishing to maintain its gorgeous appearance; pewter does not tarnish like silver. To keep your medieval goblet bright and shiny, an occasional cleaning with a quality proprietary metal polish will keep it looking brilliant. This pewter goblet is made in Sheffield, England. Crafted by master craftsman who are members of 'The Worshipful Company of Pewterers'. This group was granted a charter in 1474 by King Edward IV for the legal manufacture of pewter goblets throughout England. Many of the ancient pewter-smithing skills are still utilized today. They only manufacture the highest quality in their collection of fine pewter goblets.
