Cut and Thrust Swords that were used for the hunt were much like those used in war. They were used for dispatching large game, like boar and deer, as well as providing some protection from the unemployed mercenaries that roved across the countryside of Europe and had turned to robbery. Nicely shaped steel parts compliment an effective blade. Lower section of the grip is wood covered with black leather. Leather and steel scabbard is included. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts.
