The gathered skirts are made of soft cotton that mimics the weave of linen without the expense. A double set of lacing holes in the back of the waistband allows for adjusting the fit should you lose or gain weight. The extra-high waistband is superior to elastic waistbands because it lays flat under the bodice and helps to keep the chemise tucked in all day. You'll never look disheveled! For the double skirt look (you have to buy two), tuck up the outer skirt underneath your bodice or you if you are wearing a belt, you can also use our leather skirt hikes. For your second day at the fair, switch the skirts around and reverse your bodice if you have any of our reversible versions for a whole new look.
