This circular shield or targe replicates an original dating to the reign of Charles V, King of Spain and ruler of the Holy Roman Empire. Crafted in burnished steel, the shield is bronzed and embossed with decorations in the form of a central double eagle crest and radial lion's heads. The shield is equipped for wall hanging and has a back-mounted bracket which will hold up to three swords (not included)for an outstanding display.
