The American Revolutionary War Sword is patterned after a piece in a private collection, and was possibly carried by an infantry sergeant. Its very sturdy brass hilt was probably American made and mounted to a German blade, as were many swords of the revolution. The original scabbard has not survived, but the steel and brass scabbard supplied was commonly used.
