Detailed Item Descriptions: Teutonic Knight Tunic: Rich heavy natural cotton sleeveless tunic has the black cross of the order sewn to the front and has a linen lining to the interior. The German Order of the Teutonic Knights was formed at the end of the 12th century and played an important part in the defense of Acre during the Third Crusade. They later moved their base of operations to Transylvania to help defend Hungary against the Cumans. Dry clean only.
Teutonic Knight Cape: The German order of the Teutonic Knights was formed at the end of the 12th century and played an important part in the defense of Acre during the Third Crusade. They later moved their base of operations to Transylvania to help defend Hungary against the Cumans. This long hooded cape has the Teutonic black cross sewn over the left shoulder. Made of heavy cotton, it comes with a corded tie. One size, Dry Clean only.
Knights Black Belt: Our Knights belts are the perfect choice for almost any medieval knightly outfit. The extra long 70" heavy grade leather belt is gorgeously accented with antiqued brass roses and heavy duty buckle. Black leather.
Classic Medieval Sword: This sword is an Oakeshott Type X with a Type I pommel and a Type VII crossguard. The long and wide fuller on this blade lightens the overall sword and makes it possible to deliver fast and shearing cuts capable of cutting through the mail and padding that were worn during the period. The long guard offers good protection from an opponent's shield or blade while the classic wheel pommel brings the sword very nicely into balance. This type of sword was in service for a long period of time throughout all of Europe.
Heros Mail Coif and Hauberk: The smaller and finer the rings, the better the protection. We are proud to offer the peak of the armorer's art (and patience) as it pertains to mail. Butted, 17 guage steel rings are only 3/16" round offering unsurpassed protection. Incredibly dense, the rings provide ultimate defense against what may come your way. All warriors of the period prized this type of mail - it was purchased by the few who could afford it and presented to the hero that earned it. Hero's Mail Shirt has a large number of chain mail links, because of that, this shirt is not lightweight. Approx. 31" long. 55" chest. 31 1/2 lbs. Coif is one size fits all.
Leather Gauntlets: The long cuff construction of these supple, leather gauntlets has been seen throughout the ages. Our gauntlets come undecorated to let you customize for your favorite era. The palm, hand and fingers are made of soft, pliable leather. So supple they give you the kind of flexibility you expect from driving gloves. They are approximately 15" long and come in dress black. Leather Gauntlets available in S, M, L or XL.
