The Scottish Targe (AR039) was used by the highlanders as a defense against both arrows and hand weapons. It was light and maneuverable, often concealing a left-hand held dirk. Construction is of tooled leather-covered wood with brass mounts, screw-in central spike and leather arms straps. Brass Rim. Diameter 20".
