The Dagesse, a robust cut-and-thrust sword design of the late 14th century, originated in Italy as a weapon to penetrate joints in plate armour. It quickly found acceptance throughout Europe as its relatively short, stiff blade proved to be an excellent close-quarters weapon. This fully functional version, by Armaduras, features a high-carbon steel blade and black-chromed fittings. A leather scabbard is included.
