This two-piece bodice and skirt combination is made from extremely high-quality baroque damask fabric in shades of black and vibrant red, it is also exquisitely decorated with laces and ostrich feathers. The bodice is primarily red, although the front is decorated with intricate patterns rendered in black, these decorated patterns are broken up by plain black and red stripes. The sleeves are half-length and echo the decoration of the bodice. An intriguing array of red and black ostrich feathers decorates the neckline and waistline of the bodice. The skirt echoes the style of the bodice, featuring a section of plain black fabric on the front, which gives rise to red fabric decorated with black damask patterns, which are, in-turn, broken up by smaller stripes of plain red and black fabric.
