The Saint James Templar Knight Cloak and Tunic, by Marto, is an all-cotton, white cloak and tunic sewn with the red cross of Saint Jamesa red cross terminating into a sword. This order of knights was founded during the twelfth century, with the intention of protecting pilgrims and driving back the Muslims from the Iberian Peninsula. Eventually, this knightly order was joined with others, linking them eternally to the same cause and crown as two other knightly orders, Alcantara and Calatrava. This pair of tunic and cloak is the typical dress of a knight of the order of St. James: white, with the cross of St. James prominently displayed.
