The original concept for a cestus consists of leather-bound gloves with metal attached, designed to add impact and force to an otherwise unarmed blow. The Dragon Claw Cestus fulfills that definition, and elaborates upon it ten-fold. This highly stylized cestus is a long way away from the ancient weapons of roman gladiators and Greek pugilists, but the more modern touches and additions only serve to make it that much more intimidating'and deadly. The base of this weapon is not leather; the cover is rubber and set with a dragon's head and a pair of dragon's claws, with metal rings piercing the edges of the rubber covering. An arm-strap secures the back of the weapon down onto the forearm, just above the wrist. Mounted on the four finger-guards are spikes, one for each finger-guard, while set on the dragon's visage are two wicked blades, designed to add a wholly new threat to a weapon that's approximately 2,000 years old. Also included is a single, hidden throwing blade, kept secure just under the decorative dragon's head. Looking for your very own set of dragon's claws? You've just found them, in the Dragon Claw Cestus.
